This Privacy Policy & Legal Terms document governs your use of the IPTV Player mobile and TV application ("we," "us," "our," or "the Application"). We are dedicated to safeguarding your privacy and ensuring transparent compliance with Google Play Developer Policies and global copyright regulations.

1. Application Architecture & Functionality

IPTV Player is an independent client application built to render and playback user-specified multimedia streams. The app supports standard media streaming formats including:

• M3U & M3U8 Playlists: Local files or remote HTTP/HTTPS playlist URLs entered directly by the user.
• Xtream Codes API: Direct authentication against the user's private or subscribed server (Server URL, Username, Password).
• VOD & Live Streams: Playback of live TV, movies, series, and catch-up streams sourced from the user's designated server.
• Electronic Program Guide (EPG): Parsing standard XMLTV / EPG data provided by the user's playlist or provider.

Upon installation, the Application is a clean slate containing no default channels, playlists, sample streams, or recommendations leading to unverified third-party content.

2. Information Collection and Storage

We prioritize your privacy and follow a data minimization approach:

Xtream Credentials & Playlist Data

All authentication details (Xtream Codes API server address, username, password), M3U URLs, channel favorites, watch history, and user settings are stored exclusively locally on your device. We do not operate backend servers that collect, store, mirror, or forward your credentials, playlists, or stream history.

Direct Client-to-Server Communication

When you stream content or load an EPG, your device connects directly to the server specified in your playlist or Xtream configuration. No media streams or authentication tokens pass through our servers.

Personal Information

We do not require user registration or account creation to use the player. We do not collect names, email addresses, physical addresses, or phone numbers unless you voluntarily contact our customer support.

3. Permissions and Device Access

The Application requests only the essential Android permissions required to deliver its core features. Below is the full disclosure of permissions declared in our application:

• INTERNET (android.permission.INTERNET): Required to stream media, load user-provided M3U/M3U8 playlists, authenticate with Xtream Codes API servers, and fetch Electronic Program Guide (EPG) data directly from your designated server.
• RECORD AUDIO (android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO): Required by the Android operating system and Google ML Kit framework to capture internal playback audio strictly for On-Device Auto Subtitles / Live Captions (real-time speech-to-text subtitle generation during video playback). Privacy & Technical Note: Although named "Record Audio" by the Android OS, this permission is utilized solely for internal playback audio processing to generate subtitles. The physical microphone is not used to listen to or record external environmental sounds, conversations, or user voice. All subtitle processing is performed 100% locally on your device in real time, and no audio streams or transcriptions are ever saved, stored, or sent to external servers.
• NEARBY WI-FI DEVICES (android.permission.NEARBY_WIFI_DEVICES): Used on Android 12 and above to discover and connect to local wireless playback devices (such as Chromecast, Smart TVs, or DLNA casting receivers) over your local Wi-Fi network. As explicitly declared with the neverForLocation flag, this permission is used solely for device discovery/casting and is never used to track or determine your physical location.
• POST NOTIFICATIONS (android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Used on Android 13 and above to display media playback controls in your system notification tray (e.g., play, pause, next/previous channel) and to deliver user-scheduled program reminders from the EPG.

4. Third-Party Services and Analytics

To maintain stability, diagnose crashes, and provide monetization where applicable, we may integrate reputable third-party SDKs:

• Google Play Services: Core system support, app updates, and license verification.
• Firebase Crashlytics / Diagnostics: Collects anonymous technical crash reports (such as device model, OS version, stack traces) to help us fix bugs. This data contains no personally identifiable information or playback URLs.
• Google AdMob / Advertising Partners (if applicable): May process non-sensitive device identifiers (such as Android Advertising ID) to serve non-intrusive advertisements in free versions. You can reset or opt out of personalized ads via your device's Google Settings.

5. In-App Purchases and Billing

If the Application offers premium upgrades (such as ad removal, advanced player controls, or multi-screen view), all financial transactions are processed securely and exclusively through the Google Play In-App Billing API. We never receive, access, or store your credit card numbers, bank information, or billing address.

6. Copyright Compliance and DMCA / IP Notice

IPTV Player respects all intellectual property rights and complies with applicable copyright laws, including the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).

• We do not host, store, broadcast, or index any media files or streams on our servers.
• Because playback is executed client-side from URLs provided directly by the user, we have no technical capability or authority to remove or block content hosted on third-party servers.
• If you are a copyright holder with concerns regarding unauthorized streaming, please contact the hosting service or stream provider directly.

7. Children's Privacy

The Application is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so that we can take appropriate measures.

8. Security and User Control

You retain full control over your data within the Application. You can remove your saved playlists, Xtream credentials, and watch history at any time by clearing the playlist within the app settings or by clearing the application data in Android System Settings.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy and Legal Terms periodically to reflect updates in our application features, legal requirements, or Google Play policies. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
